I am a North West-based artist working primarily with textiles, print and collage to create sculptural artworks that can interact with the human body.

My work primarily documents my personal and emotional journey through life, and in particular my experience of loss, achievement, and a search for self-confidence shaped by the people I meet and the places I visit.

My work is also influenced by our changing landscape, which is covered and uncovered by environmental or man-made forces, and the emotional attachment we have to it.

In addition to my visual art practice, I also specialise in 3D textiles and jewellery, using a variety of media and techniques.

There is a strong crossover between this work and my visual art practice, particularly in my use of self-designed and printed fabrics in the latter, and in my interest in expanding the potential of wearable art.

Following some 15 years’ experience running workshops as a freelance artist and maker, for the past four years I have undertaken a formal course of study at the University of Central Lancashire.

I remain committed to making art accessible to a wider audience and helping people unlock their creative and emotional potential.
