The desire to build and stack is an integral part of human DNA, representing creation, growth and achievement. In my recent work inspired by a trip to Copenhagen, I have created stacked towers, which incorporate the colours, patterns & textures As they grow, these wearable towers are representative of my own achievements in the face of a life lived with a lack of self-belief. At the same time, they symbolise a sheltered space in which to hide or reflect, a place in which it becomes possible to find a way to articulate and capture personal things, from ideas through to memories and loss.
